Rosie is a gorgeous girl, and that has always been sufficient. Men ogle her, boys swoon over her, and females (reluctantly) appreciate her. She is aware of her good fortune. Yet as the new school year gets underway, she starts to understand that she wants to be more. She really wants to be a better friend to Maddie, who recently returned from a summer program overseas and has fully developed her own appearance.
