Linda Buckner, affectionately known as Miss Linda by many students and young children, is an Alabama native who wants to use her writing talents to share God's amazing grace with the world. While she has a special connection with children, she hopes to reach people of all ages with the message of Jesus Christ's love, mercy, salvation, and hope. Linda has worked in the medical field as a nurse, including working as a school nurse in a variety of schools from kindergarten through the 8th grade. She finds children to be a source of inspiration. She has a strong belief that God always equips us and provides the means to do what he wants us to do. Her work as a children's author allows her to combine her writing skills with her love for children. God always gives her a story. She uses what she has in an effort to fulfill her calling, and he multiplies whatever she offers in service to him. Feelings of loneliness and loss have fueled Linda's drive to share with children through writing. As an adopted child, her life was not always filled with love. Losing her son, Stephen, when he was 18 and her grandson, Tucker, to cancer when he was 9 has made Linda aware of the hurts endured by children and adults alike. Her mission is to provide comfort and hope to others through the stories she writes. She also hopes that she can encourage others to follow their gifts and talents. As a member of the SonShine Writers Group for several years, Linda worked on writing assignments that helped her hone her literary skills. She credits their encouragement as a tremendous help in following her passion as a writer. Linda lives in the Birmingham, Alabama area with her family and attends a local church.
