'Bradshaw's Canals and Navigable Rivers of England and Wales' was first published in 1904, resulting from a survey by the author of the whole of the navigable inland waterway of England and Wales, carried out over a period of eleven years, during which the author travelled more than 14,000 miles. This a revised and updated edition of the book, published in 1918, which is thus an invaluable guide to the condition of British waterways in the early 20th century.
