About the Author


John Acorn has been a "critter fanatic" his entire life. He is perhaps best known as the writer and host of the television series Acorn, the Nature Nut. These days John lectures at the University of Alberta and is a spokeperson for the Royal Tyrrell Museum. He still finds time for entomology and is an Associate of the E.H. Stickland Entomology Musuem. John has written 15 books, including may well-received field guides and is the recipient of numerous awards.
