"Matriarchs and Mean Girls and Shamans Oh My... " is a catalog of images of four series of paintings by Walter Guerra Ostolaza. "Matriarchs" consists of paintings of several of the artist's female ancestors. The series "Mean Girls" depicts the artist's interpretations of a number of infamous villainesses of history. "Shamans" and "Allegories" are two supporting series of paintings related to Native American shamans and the artist's personal views about society and its values.
