About the Author
Margaret Taylor is a lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Information & Library Studies. She teaches courses in basic and subject reference materials and services and has done research on book availability and library use. Ronald R. Powell, an associate professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Library and Informational Science, has taught courses on basic reference materials and services and on bibliographic instruction and is the co-author of Success in Answering Reference Questions: Two Studies (Scarecrow, 1987)
